Oil and Energy Sector
The importance of the analytical tests carried out on crude oil and its derived products is due to the fact that through this characterization it will be possible to determine, in the case of crude oil, its classification as well as values of important parameters that among many things will determine its price in the market and the utility that can be given. Likewise in the case of petroleum products, such as lubricating oils, it is important that the manufacturers of these oils carry out analyzes to ensure that their products meet the required technical specifications. For example; viscosity value, its color, water content, among others.

There are a large number of other important tests carried out on crude oil: for example, the determination of the API grade in order to classify it through its density, kinematic viscosity, asphaltene content, naphtha content, flash point, residual carbon , the sulfur content, etc. To determine the sulfur in crude oil, the X-Ray Fluorescence technique is used; All these values determine the commercial value of the crude and hence the importance of having quality control laboratories that have the necessary instruments to carry out these analyzes.
We at Corporación Científica Venezolana, C. A., are proud to supply for many years various types of analytical instruments to our clients in this sector and especially to companies such as PDVSA, CHEVRON, TOTAL, among others; so that they can carry out the analysis of the crude oil and be able to characterize it correctly both for its use and for its commercialization.
We invite you to learn about some of the analytical solutions we offer.
